I own the Graco snugride infant carseat. It's top ranked among other carseats as being one of the safest infant carseats around. I was impressed with the quality of the carseat. It has an adjustable base that stays in the car and also a leveling window so that you know that the car seat is at the correct incline for the infant. In addition to being a safe model, it also has modern patterns and colors and doesn't look like a typical infact carseat with animals or winnie the pooh. Mine in particular is brown with lime green accents. It could be used for either a boy or a girl. The only thing that I do not like is that the handle is not ergonomically situated. Some carseats have the handle that it turned to that it's easier to carry. The snugride has a traditional handle. Other than that I am very satisfied with the carseat and would definitely purchase it again. For the peace of mind that the safety ratings provide, it is well worth the money.

We had a snug ride too. I loved as a car seat, but you are right it is not easy to carry. My son was a big baby and I dreaded having to carry the carseat around.
