A while back I bought the Garmin eTrex Venture HC GPS unit, and it has been great for the price.  The unit itself is very lightweight and compact so I can fit it in my pocket.  The buttons are nice and easy to press, with a nice joystick to make selections on the many menus this GPS has.  One important thing is that it does come with the USB caple to send maps and waypoints easil...
