Chevy TrailBlazer...Luv My Truck!!
Man oh Man. Mama LOVES her truck.
I recently purchased a used 2003 Trailblazer with 47K miles. I've never owed a large vehicle, and I think it is safe to say I will never go back to a small one! I absolutely adore the space in the back for the kids. I have a carseat, a booster seat and a preteen that was feeling the squeeze in our car. I'm happy to report he has plenty of space to grow now!
One thing I particularly like is that this vehicle seems made for a woman. I don't feel overwhelmed, and I always feel very much in control. The shift is in the center console, all heat/air/radio controls are within easy reach, and the power locks and windows are a must for any mom and dad! I feel the mirrors are a good size, and I don't have too much of a blind spot so I feel comfortable backing up.
I do have to note that the seat belts are a bit of a bother for me. I'm 5'4", and the seat belt was cutting into my neck. I simply went to the local auto supply store and picked up some very inexpensive adapters to keep the seat belt positioned correctly. The only other negative is of course the gas mileage. It's pretty low, but luckily I use the truck mostly around town, so it keeps the costs down. I look forward to the day I can afford a hybrid!
Take one for a test drive...I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the easy handling and smooth ride.

Nissan Pathfinder
Sounds like a good, basic vehicle. I am always happy to hear when they've designed a vehicle that isn't made only for giants to drive.
