Dell is the best
I bought Dell Pentium 4 desktop (8300 series) in the beginning of 2004 . The Dell was offering a very good package deal on Computers these days. I just grab the offer and I am really happy I did.
The Dell computer desktop with six speaker system , printer, web camera, 2 years business year warrennty,3 months antivirus programme and free delivery along with all these 200 off on the purchase. I think this was an excellent deal.
The Dell sells on line only and there is no show room for that. If any body wants to buy they have to order either on line or by calling their service centre. Dell is a reliable name and they do offer good deals from time to time specially near Christmas and new year. As every year Dell introduce new models so Dell tries to sell previous models quickly at low price.
My Dell computer desktop is Pentium 4 and 8300 series. I received the system pre-installed with Windows XP ,Microsoft word And also some other important software . Dell also include the DVDs of each software within the nice packing in case I need to reinstall. I ordered the Logitech pocket digital camera also so they also send the camera with the same delivery and all its content (Installation CD , code, booklet ). The computer was delivered within 5 working days. The packing was very nice and safe.
The installation was no problem as there were clear instruction and one can also get the help of their expert at a very reasonable price. The system is more than perfect . The graphics , the sound and the flat panel 14"screen is tempting enough to attract user to use the Dell computer the whole day . The key board is soft and easy to use. I also ordered the optical mouse and its been more than three years now I have not change any of its parts (like key board, mouse etc). The Dell computer though are expensive but are reliable, strong and long lasting. than any other brand. The best thing is to wait for an offer as their offers are really good.
The whole system is still working like new. I am happy I choose Dell on any other brand .

Good for basic needs

Since you haven't posted the specs of the computer, (other than it's a P4 Intel processor), I might say you probably could've gotten a better deal at that time building it up from scratch.
I am using Dell in my office and is completely satisfied with it ,no complain.No wonder its a good name in computers.
