I am really enjoying the Oregon Scientific Remote Thermo Clock. I like it because when I want to know the temperature outside, I don't have to open the door to feel, I can just read this. It also gives me the temperature inside my house. The temperature reading is usually accurate, but can be off at times. It may be just because of where I have the outside reader, though. The reader is sitting on my deck in the back and on really hot days, when the sun is shining straight on it, it causes it to give an inaccurate reading.
The outside temperature gauge can not be that far away from the inside part. Like I said, I put the outside piece on my deck railing. I put the inside part in the kitchen on the counter. It is not an issue with me and I like the location.
You can set it to read Fahrenheit or Celcius. You can also change the time zone with a touch of a button and it displays a map of the US with the zone highlighted, which I think is a nice feature. It also has a memory, which I never use.
If you are looking for a gift for someone who has everything, this is a great gift.
