Great Canon Digital Camera
This digital camera is great. It has still photo settings for nighttime, indoor pictures, outdoor pictures, and kids and pets. And they all actually work. You can tell a difference between the pictures on manual or auto and the pictures taken with the different settings. It also takes really great videos. They are clear, even in low light situations and inside your house. It is also very durable, as it has been dropped twice, and it is still taking great pictures.
The LCD screen is really big. Even my older family members can use and see the screen, which is definitely not always the case. The software is okay for a beginner, but I continue to use digital photo editing software rather than the software that came with the camera.
I do have a few things that I dislike. First, the battery life with just normal AA batteries is not great. I use the camera a lot, so I always keep spare batteries with me. Second, the zoom is very fast. It is difficult to zoom just a bit in. Third, the memory that came with the camera was not adequate. I purchased a 512 memory card, and at 1600 x 1200, I can take 200+ pictures without downloading the pictures to my computer.
Overall, the camera is great. I would highly recommend it for a beginning user.
