Sandals Ocho Rios in Ocho Rios Jamaica

My husband and I stayed at the Sandals Ocho Rios Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica several years ago for 7 nights and 8 days.  It was an incredible all-inclusive resort, which is for couples only.  It is not like other all-inclusive resorts where certain drinks and activties are excluded.  This is a true all-inclusive resort.  Everything from tips to drinks to land and watersports are included.

The dining is incredible.  They have 8 restaurants ranging from American to Italian to Seafood.  They also have 3 bistros.  All drinks are included, including wines and mixed drinks.  You could have a bottle of wine with dinner every night and not be charged extra.  They also include all tips and they allow NO tipping what so ever.  The servers will refuse a tip if you try to give it to them.

All land and water sports are also included.  Not only can you go snorkling and canoing but you can also go SCUBA diving for free!  There is no gear fee either.  You don't have to be certified but you do need to take short course while you are there, which is also free!  Now, if you do decide to take a certification course, you will need to pay for that, but it is cheap compared to what you would pay elsewhere.  If you are certified, you can go on 2 dives a day.  If not certified, you can go on one dive a day.  We did not get certified, but we did enjoy going on two dives!  It was incredible!  We were too busy at the beach to enjoy any of the land sports, but they do include golf, tennis, table tennis and other land sports free of charge.

They have several different types of accomodation from one bedroom suites with your private pool to standard hotel rooms.  In between they have ocean view rooms and suites along with cottage rooms which are "quadplexes" scattered throughout the resort.

The dress code is considered causual during the day, including swimwear, sundress, shorts and tanktops.  However, at nightime, it becomes causually elegant.  Some of the restuarants have a dress code so check the website to make sure you bring the proper attire.

We loved this adult only, couples only all-inclusive resort. My husband and I can't wait to go back again!
