Sphere

Share and Enjoy:

While I'm a devoted Michael Crichton fan, I do feel that his books lack a certain something and he can be rather hit-and-miss at times. That being said, I strongly believe that Sphere is his best work to date and ranks up there with some pretty timeless sci-fi.

The book follows a team of scientists who venture down below the Pacific ocean to investigate to invesitage a 300 year old spaceship that's found resting on the ocean floor. The premise is classic sci-fi and Crichton follows through every step of the way. One of the most unique stories that I've ever had the pleasure of reading, Sphere takes you on a thought provoking and mind bending journey into the mind of an alien spaceship. This is Crichton - and sci-fi - at its best.
