Sea World in San Antonio, TX

We visited Sea World in San Antonio, TX, a couple of months ago.  Our main reason for going was for my daughter and husband to participate in the Beluga Whale Interaction Program.  They both really enjoyed it.  They were able to get in the training pool, feed the Beluga's, hug them, and let the Belugas take them for a little spin.  The Beluga Interaction is not included in the price of admission and it is quite expensive.  It is $140.00 per person for 30 minutes in the pool.  If you want to watch but not participate, it is $10.00.

There are things to do at Sea World that are included in the price of admission, such as the shows.  One not to be missed is "Believe" the Shamu the Killer Whale show.  These creatures are amazing to watch!  They also have a sea lion show, a show with multiple sea creatures including belugas called "Viva", and "Waggin Tales", a cute show with small land animals.

You can check out dolphins at Dolphin Cove. You can lean against the Dolphin Pool to touch the dolphins. Watching and touching the dolphins is included with admission. If you want to feed them, however, there is a cost.  You can purchase a tray of 4 small fish for $5.00.  They have rides such as The Steel Eel and the Great White.  Those are both roller coasters.  They also have a flume log ride called the Texas Splashdown.

The have a water park attached to Sea World that is included in the price of admission.  They have several slides, a wave pool, and a flowing river. 

I would suggest packing a picnic to take.  The quick service food is expensive and not very good.   They also have "Dine with Shamu" where you can dine next to Shamu's pool.  We didn't eat there so I can't comment on the quality of food.

Our overall experience was a good one.  We will go back, but not for a few years.
