Weight Watchers Points System

I have been trying Weight Watchers Points System weight loss program. I haven't gone to meetings but have been doing the Points Plan on my own with a friend and we both have had success with weight loss. I have been able to lose on average 3lbs a week. The cost varies, I joined for about $25 and got the program information. I wanted to try it without meetings as I feel like I have very little spare time but there are additional costs if you do meetings. The benefit of course to meetings is that you have a larger support system. You can also join online and the Weight Watchers site provides dieting tips and recipes, success stories etc. You can access this without joining but if you join you also get access to tools to analyze your eating habits, ways to track progress, etc. I really like the Points system because it allows you to eat what you want as long as you stay within your points range. The points are determined by how much your weight is and a few other lifestyle determinants. The one downfall is that technically you can eat junk food which is less healthy as long as you eat within your range. Obviously this is not as good for you as healthier foods. Overall though I think I tend to eat better and healthier on this system and it's been a good help in making me realize what a true portion is versus what I was previously eating. I think it's a great system and I think for anyone struggling with weight loss it's a great choice to try.
