Carnival Pride Mexican Riviera

Share and Enjoy:

Cruises are extremely elaborate vacations and wonderfully yummy. There really is so much to do on the ship even if Mother Nature wants to show you the rough stormy sea life. Even though the ships are huge and there are plenty of places to spend your time, it is not huge enough to always avoid any unwanted family members or friends.

Our cruise departed from Long Beach, CA with destinations to Peurto Vallarta, Mazalten and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, then embarking back into Long Beach. We had an inside cabin which was used to store clothing and sleeping. There really was no reason why to stay in the room during the awake hours except for the last night when it was stormy and most everyone on the ship was experiencing some level of sea sickness.

You receive a cruise card with your name on it. It is used as your cabin key and when purchasing any onboard items from the gift shop to drinks at the many different bars. A credit card is kept on file and is charged at the end of the trip. What was really annoying was the automatic grautuity on every transaction at the bars. The variety of different shows and entertainment made up for some of the over cost of drinks. Night clubs, theatre shows, adult only hot tubs, exercise gym with steam room and sauna, lots to keep you busy.

The cruise was wonderful because there was no stress of what to do on a vacation. Days at sea to hang around the ship, certain hours in port where you just hail a cab and ask for flea markets or the beach or whatever you want and the locals will direct you. You always know where you are sleeping every night. No guessing what hotel or where to eat or what to do. It was one of the least stressful vacations I have ever taken. I can not wait to take another cruise.
