Almost Famous Bootleg Cut DVD
Share and Enjoy:
Almost Famous is Cameron Crowe's semi-autobiographical story of a teenage boy who is hired to write a story on a rock band for Rolling Stone magazine. The character of William is based off of Cameron Crowe, since he too was a teenager when he wrote for Rolling Stone, covering such bands as Led Zepplin. The band in the movie, Stillwater, is fictitious, but they draw off of real bands that Crowe wrote about in the 70's. Along the way, he meets some of Stillwater's most diehard fans, including a group of "band-aids" who follow the band around, and know everything about the band, their songs and the in's and out's of their personal relationships. In addition to this being a great movie, it is full of special features, deleted scenes and a wonderful soundtrack full of classic rock hits.
