Garmin Etrex Legend

I have owned this handheld GPS for about 2 years now and it's still going strong. The unit itself is clear blue plastic with a rubber back and sides for gripping comfort, also it will stay in one place when placed on on the dash of a car, or on the seat of a boat. The Legend has a very decent sized display and a backlight for use at night. There is a scrolling button for simple navigation through its multiple pages and easy access buttons on the sides. The GPS performs very well in any situation, but I have found it to be the best out on the water with nothing to block signals. The overall rating I have given it is fairly low due to the difficulty in finding enough satellites to navigate sometimes. But once it gets satellites it has no problem holding them. The accuracy is very good, within 3 feet when on the water, due to it's WAAS capability. The battery life is good, a pair of AA's will last for hours of navigating. There are lots of maps to buy for the unit and it is simple to interface with a PC. You can edit your maps on the computer then upload them directy to the device which is very nice. It's a very handy little unit for hikers, and boaters, and campers who like to explore. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a decent device at a relatively cheap price.
