The Giant AC is a mountain bike with 6.5 inches of travel in the rear shock and 5 inches in the front fork. The bike is not a very heavy bike in the mountain bike scheme of things, but it is built very study. The components are of good quality, but the front fork which is a "Mailbou" fork could have been replaced with a slightly higher quality fork. The rear shock is great, with a rebound adjustment so you can set it to your personal preference. The bike comes in a forest green color with a grey and black fork. It is a very sharp looking bike. It is very comfortable on trails ranging from flat gravel trails to downhill trails with obstacles and jumps. The bike has hydraulic hayes disk-brakes in the front and rear which work wonderfully. If you plan on using it for distance I would suggest less rugged tires. Overall I believe the bike is worth the price and it compares to some $2000.00 bikes.

As long as you get enjoyment and your money's worth out of the bike then it is certainly a wise choice. It does sound like an awesome bike. Thanks for sharing the information.
My husbands co-worker had this bike and loved it. He'd use it up at his summer place to ride through all kinds of terrain and it held up well overall.

I didn't realize mountain bikes were that expensive. Hope you get many years of enjoyment from it.
This bike sounds awesome, but it cost more than my car did! I also didn't realize just how much a good mountain bike could cost!
I truly don't know much about mountain bikes but your's sounds like a bargain if they go for well over $2000! This will last you a lifetime!
