Sonicare Flexcare toothbrush with UV Sanitizer

  I never thought I'd be raving over a toothbrush, but the Sonicare Flexcare toothbrush with the UV Sanitizer is the best purchase I've made this year.  I was hesitant over purchasing such an expensive toothbrush, but I'm glad I did.  It was recommended to me by a friend who is a dental hygienist because my dentist told me I was brushing too hard and receding my gumlines.

  After using this toothbrush, my teeth felt cleaner than ever before.  The same clean feeling you get after they are cleaned professionally at the dentists office.  This toothbrush has 5 settings to choose from.  The first 3 are not on a timer - you determine how long you brush.  They are cleaning, sensitive, and massage.  The other 2 settings are on a timer.  Go care is a 1 minute brushing.  You're supposed to clean your teeth in 4 groups - top teeth front, top teeth back, bottom teeth front, bottom teeth back.  On the Go Care setting, the toothbrush signals you every 15 seconds, so you know when to switch to the next section of your teeth.  Then there is a Max Care setting.  The Max Care setting is a 3 minute brushing that alternates between brushing and massaging.  You can feel the difference when it switches to the massage mode.

  The first time I used this toothbrush, toothpaste was going everywhere.  I found that I was using way too much toothpaste.  You only need a very small amount - about the size of a pea or even smaller.  I also now try to keep my mouth closed as much as possible or lean over my sink.  If I need to spit, I can turn the toothbrush off, spit, turn it back on and it will resume where it was in the cycle. 

  The UV Sanitizer kills germs.  I put the toothbrush head in the UV Sanitizer and it runs for 10 minutes.  I have no way of verifying it works, so I'll just take the Manufacturer's word on it.

  This toothbrush is worth every penny I spent on it.  It gives my mouth such a clean feeling and I notice that I have fresher breath, even when I wake up in the morning.

 One tip: The directions say that if you use a toothpaste with baking soda or a whitening agent, you must clean the toothbrush with soap and water after each use.  Otherwise, the casing will crack.  I will use regular toothpaste.  You don't need the whitening toothpaste with this brush anyway.
