Empire Records: Remix! Special Fan Edition DVD is the director's cut of the under rated movie released in 1995. The movie stars Anthony LaPaglia as Joe, the owner of an independant music shop called Empire Records. He has many colorful employees including Liv Tyler (Armegedon, Reign Over Me), Rory Cochran (Dazed & Confused, CSI: Miami), and Renee Zellweger (Chicago, the Bridget Jones movies), who unlike most adults, love their jobs, who they work for, and their co-workers. Each of the employees is different in their own way, like Tyler's character is a "brainy princess," who others feel has everything handed to her, Cochran's character is a bit of a social outcast, and Zellweger's character is an aspiring musician who wants to get out of the small town she lives in. I think that this was a highly under rated movie, and that the cast gives great performances, and now watching it I realize how good the actors were even before they were big names. The speical features on the disk include scenes not in the original movie spliced back in where they would have been, and music videos.
