Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines - Rhapsody of the Sea

This was our first experience with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. It was a wonderful vacation all around. We took our entire family (all 6 of us). One thing that all agreed upon was that this vacation had something for everyone.

First, Royal Caribbean has a wonderful children's program. We left our three youngest and some of their friends that came along for several hours at a time in the very kid friendly "Adventure Ocean". They had so much fun they didn't want to leave when we came to pick them up. This is a fabulous draw for us as parents. We enjoy "family time" but also want some "adult time".

Second, the food was absoluetely delicious. We felt like royalty at every meal. We especially enjoyed getting dressed up for "formal nights". Our server, after our first meal, called us by name and remembered our preferences. Unlike other cruise lines, we were able to try one of everything if we so desired. The children even tried (and to their suprise - liked) many new foods.

Third, the cabins were designed in such a way that every inch of space was used for some purpose. I was amazed at how much we were able to squeeze into what appeared to be a small cabin without feeling crowded. TIP: bring an over the door shoe rack and use it over the bathroom door to store items such as underwear, socks, hair and personal accessories.

Fourth,the ship was large enough to supply what was desired on the cruise, but small enough to not be overwhelmed. The entertainment and onboard activities kept us busy when we wanted something to do, but we were also able to just kick back, rest and relax. This is the only real area of complaint. The water in the pool is saltwater and the children didn't like getting it in their eyes. Therefore, the pool on deck was not enjoyed as much as they hoped it would be.

To sum it all up, we loved our experience on Royal Caribbean's Rhapsody of the Sea and look forward to sailing with them again!
