Picture Perfect?
As a design student, my school included art kits in tuition. Every quarter we recieved a new art kit that had several different supplies and gadgets to benefit us with our projects. We all were very excited to hear that our third quarter kit was to include a digital camera, due to the fact that they are fun and a must have, but of coarse mostly because we take a lot of our own photography for projects.
The camera we all received was a Kodak Easyshare. This was not by far the first digital camera I had used, but it was the first I personally owned. I knew the EasyShare was supposed to be very simple to use. I came to find out that simplicity was about the only good thing it had going for itself.
For projects, the picture quality was to be no less than 300dpi. The first set of pictures I took uploaded and were at 230dpi. That may not sound like much of a difference, but when you are being graded by profesionals who have been looking at graphics forever, they can tell.
I almost immediately had problems with the battery life. I spent a lot of money on different brands of rechargable and litho batteries, but nothing seemed to work, so I had to put the blame on the cameras quality or durability. I guess if you are looking for a camera to catch some candids to post on you webpage, this camera would be alright, but if you're looking for any picture qualities or multi-funcions or something you don't have to put new batteries in after each and every picture, do some research.
