Hostel on DVD

Hostel on DVD is a movie that was released in 2006. The movie stars Jay Hernandez and Derek Richardson as Americans backpacking through Europe after they graduated college for one last moment of fun before they enter grad school and have no time for social lives for the forseeable future. Along the way, they become friends with another guy who starts traveling with them from youth hostel to youth hostel. Also, they talk to a local who says if they want to really experience Europe, they should go deeper into Europe to find lesser known places where they can have a more authentic, less touristy experience. They get to a hostel in Eastern Europe, check in, and go out for a night on the town. First their new friend doesn't come home after a night of partying, and they think nothing of it. They try to leave a message for him a the front desk, but the clerk says that he checked out. Other odd events start to occur, and Hernandez needs to find his lost friends. I thought that this was one of the best horror movies of the past several years, and there were several instances where I was freaked out. The disk has several special features including a commentart with director Eli Roth and producer Quinten Tarintino.
