OK...ever had problems with your computer? ever get the blue screen of death?! well now its time to try something new. Its the new iMac intel core duo! its a nice affordable computer for everyone to use. have no worries, your hero is here! so, lets look into this. The new iMac is by far better than any of the previous iMacs released. I own the original imac G4 (the half dome with a monitor looking thing). that was an awesome computer but obviously out of date. this new iMac offers great computer speed with up to 4GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM. But for the average person, you can get by with 512mb. Get up to 4gb if you are running high quality production software. Is 2.0ghz too slow for you? No problem. Apple offers a multitude of processing speed. Start form 2.0Ghz and get as high as 2.8ghz. Also the new iMacs come in either a 20in or 24in monitor. the bigger the better but you can also do lots with 20-inches! Lets get to some technical thoughts...Its incredibly slim. i don't know how apple does this but its slim and looks awesome with a metallic finish to it. There's this random black border around the LCD...i really don't know the purpose of the black line, possibly to differentiate the metal body and the LCD. It comes with a built in video camera for easy Video Chat capabilities. This computer comes with the latest operating system by apple. (currently leopard) also a beautifully designed new keyboard. its flat and helps you speed up your typing speed..no joke! I'm using it right now. haha SO...not everything can be perfect with apple. One of the downfalls of all apple computers is the lack of being able to upgrades hardware. Once you buy your computer of your dreams, the most you can do to the iMac is buy more Ram...thats about it. you cant buy a newer video-card, you cant replace the hard-drive of the motherboard. unless its broken and you spend an ungodly amount to apple to have them repair it. The video card this compute comes with is average. its not the greatest in the market but it does the work. But the way technology moves these days, you'll be begging for a better video-card. It comes with an ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with 128mb memory and you don't get the option to upgrade it. OH well.... So there you go. its a great computer and lots of fun. You can find multiple use for it, wether its recording music with Garage band, making a movie with iMove, editing your pictures with iPhoto. do all of it with the built in software. Get in on the fun and check out the new and improved. iMac intel core duo.
