Starring a very young Macaulay Kulkin (you know, the Home Alone kid) and the late, stupendously great John Candy, Uncle Buck is yet another production from John Hughes that is successful in having both a touching story and a funny as hell script. Candy shines in the title role, as a deadbeat uncle charged with taking care of his nieces and nephew upon the passing of his sister in law's father. Ever a go getter, Candy rises to the occassion, with bowling ball and jalopy ready in his arsenal. Offered in widescreen format, Uncle Buck offers nothing in regards to special features or commentaries by the cast or crew. But when you have a flick as great as this, all that other stuff is just fluff. Add Uncle Buck to your DVD collection today!
