Panasonic Alkalineplus AA Batteries

I paid $2 for a a package of 4 of these AA batteries for my digital camera.  I have gotten a lot more time out of batteries for my digital camera than these batteries.  I did not think to read the back of the package of these Alkalineplus batteries which states that these batteries are best for a headphone stereo, flashlight, or tape recorder.  I do not like the fact that the I took for granted these batteries would be good for my digital camera and found out otherwise after they were used and gone.  Now that I know this I would still be willing purchase these batteries for such things like a flashlight or my mini tape recorder because of the fact that these batteries are affordable.  I do trust the Panasonic brand and even though the run time in my camera was not that long I cannot be sure for the other items listed on the packaging.
