Magellan Maestro 3100 - North America
I have had this product for about 8 months now. I have used it around the Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego areas. It has always helped to get me to my destination. However, there are times when the destination may be off a bit.
Pros:
This is a great beginner GPS device. It is very simple to use. It is light and compact, and it won't take up very much space in your vehicle. It has an SD memory card slot to backup your addresses. It contains an available USB connection to download software updates from your computer, and it will re-route you when it senses that you are stuck in traffic.
Cons:
It sometimes freezes on a destination, and you will not be able to change the desired destination for a while (I haven't experienced this since the software update, but I just wanted to make you aware of this just in case it has not been completely fixed). It also does not come with an A/C adapter, only a car charger, so if you need to perform a software update, then you need to be sure the battery has been fully charged from your vehicle.
I would definitely recommend this GPS system for people not doing too much travelling, but still needing a simple device to get them to their desired destination, or to just find new places that may not have known were around.
