Uniden 5.8 GHz Cordless Phones
I received this phone as a gift from my husband last year. I was always complaining about our old cordless phone, because as soon as you would walk to another room in the house, the reception would go haywire.
Our two previous cordless phones were single phones, and so I like the fact that this came with two phones- they are modern looking, with a shape that is easy to hold, and comfortable against your face. I also have the "multi-task test" that I put to use on any potential new phone- can I hold the phone against my ear with just my shoulder, so that I can be making dinner / folding laundry / dusting, etc while talking? The simple answer here is- yes.
The thing I like most about these phones is the crystal clear reception- not only can I freely walk from room to room, but I can even go into the basement, and through my entire backyard without losing a call. The ringer has a volume control, which is nice. I love having caller id on my phone too; just for those times when you can screen calls. The battery life is surprisingly long too; we have often forgotten to return the phone to the charger for a day or two, and have never had a problem. These phones are highly recommended!
