If you’re looking for a fun way to bond with your children, try reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr., John Archambault and illustrated by Lois Ehlert.
“A told B and B told C, ‘I’ll meet you at the top of the coconut tree.’” The letters of the alphabet are inclined to race to the top of a coconut tree. It seemed like a good idea until they all came tumbling down. Black-eyed P is among the letters who emerge with bruises.
This is a wonderfully illustrated 32 page picture book full of rhyme and rhythm. It’s an excellent read for children three to seven years old.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is an American Library Association Notable Children’s Book and a Parents’ Choice Award winner.
