Smithsonian Gummy Bug Lab

Share and Enjoy:
A great gift for a young, age 8 to 12 year old who likes icky things!  The Gummy Bug Lab let's the kid mix and create their own gummy bugs, which are edible.  The mix comes with  several flavors, including cherry, lemon, and berry.  The mix is made by adding hot water, not boiling so no chance of burning.  This is definitely a project to do with adult supervision.  The bugs come out easily and are very gross looking, but in a good way!  However their taste was almost indigestible, very grainy with a slight fruit flavor.  Also in the box there is only enough mix to make one batch of bugs.  Overall it was fun but the flavor needs imrpovement and perhaps they could add more than one mix per box.
