What To Expect When You're Expecting
I have always heard of this book and after I got pregnant it was the first thing I wanted to buy. After glancing through it nothing really stood out to me as amazing so I thought maybe I would find that in the content.
I read it at the start of each new month of my pregnancy. I did find that it gave me some great information but most of the book is just questions and answers. Those can be helpful but I would have loved to have seen color images or any images besides just drawings. Mostly I was just shocked that this was the book that was so popular. I think that it is completely overrated.
I did love that at the beginning of each chapter it told you what was going on with your body as well as the babies body and development. However, most of the content is very vague and nothing is very detailed at all. I was not very impressed and if you are only going to buy one pregnancy information book, I would not pick this one. I didn't even finish it and really didn't even look forward to reading the new chapter each month. Mostly it just made me terrified when I did read it.
