AT&T Cordless phone/answering machine
When our very old cordless phone finally gave out last year, we purchased the this AT&T cordless answering system after reading lots of phone reviews. We weren't looking for anything fancy- just a reliable phone at a decent price.
We've had this one for about ten months and haven't had any problems with it. The sound quality is clear and I can use it anywhere in our house, even out in the backyard. It has caller id, call waiting, and an answering machine. The phone has a several ring volumes and sounds to choose from. We keep ours on the quietest one. It's loud enough to hear, but doesn't wake the baby when he's napping - very important. We keep ours on the charger most of the time, but I've never had the battery run down. The answering machine is also easy to set up and use. If you are looking for a good, inexpensive phone, this is the one.

Our phone battery is dying and the cost to replace it is about 1/2 the price of this phone. We have 2 receivers so it would be less to get this than to get batteries, thanks for the info.

Thanks for sharing this information. Finding good cordless phones at such a good price is not an easy task. This sound like a great phone, and the price is excellent.
I agree, I love when phones have a good ringer volume setting. Our cell phone is so loud that it is guaranteed to wake my daughter up. This sounds like a really great phone.
