Black & Decker Quick N Easy Plus Food Processor
My food Processor is an often forgotten house item. I admit to not using it often as of late. It gets pulled out of the top-hard-to-reach cabinet for holiday cooking, and then forgotten about again. This year, I decided to try to use more. I can now say, it’s a great and handy item> even though its not a can’t live without item, at least not yet.
I picked it up to crush/pulverize candy bars for my holiday treats, and found this one at Wal-Mart. I like its simple design and features. It is dishwasher friendly (BIG plus!). It grinds up a Heath toffee candy bar like crazy! That was what I needed it for, in the beginning. Now, I find it essential in helping me make my Loaded Baked Potato soup very creamy and perfect for the bacon crumbs. There are more things I am discovering that this kitchen item is very useful for. I would say it is not a can’t live without, but its usefulness has increased as I learn to use it more.
It has a large clear plastic bowl (holds 8 cups), and several blades, depending on your needs. I will warn to be careful of the blades! It slices through your thumb like nothing (have the scar to prove it!)
I do appreciate the dishwasher friendliness as I hate hand washing, and I got it 2 years ago at $24.99, it is a good price> especially now that I am using more. I like the simple features: Low or high speed, then ON or PULSE. Great beginner food processor!
