Pierre Cardin Pen/Pencil Set

At first sight this pen and pencil set looks very well made, but after a week of use I was quite dissatisfied. The pen in the set works pretty well. It is nothing special though, it is just a regular cartridge shoved into a metal fancy casing. After using the pen I was only slightly disappointed.

After use of the pen, I took the pencil to school for a test run. On the first day of use I did not have any complaints. It wrote well and the feel was fine. The lead is advanced by simply turning the top half of the pencil. This is a fancy way of advancing lead and this is what ended up causing me to dislike the pencil. After a few day of advancing lead by turning the top part of the pen, the top part started to loosen from the bottom part. This resulted in an inconsistent advancement of lead. I would turn the top and I would end up hoping that it would catch the bottom half and give me some lead. This was a nuisance. After about a week of this inconsistency the top part was very loose and never would advance lead no matter how much I turned the top. After this happened I was forced to remove the top half of the pencil and turn the bottom half. This was not convenient and upset me very much because this was a Pierre Cardin Pencil. After a week of flawed lead dispensing I resorted to the cheap plastic Bic pencils that work much better.

I am quite disappointed with the pen and pencil set made by the well-known luxury items manufacturer, Pierre Cardin.
