Bissell QuickSteamer Lightweight Cleaner
This Bissell QuickSteamer is a replacement for a previous incarnation which became so plugged up I just gave it away. The Bissell QuickSteamer is the lightest steamer, like they say. However, it is very prone to becoming clogged. This is because the formula which is meant to be used in the QuickSteamer comes in a very large bottle, and tends to coagulate over time. I didn't realize that this was happening, and the clogs became so bad in the old steamer that it became unusable.
The new steamer has had better luck. I figured out to filter the formula through a strainer before using it if it had been sitting a while. The capacity of the tanks are not very large. You have to go back often for a refill. Soil doesn't come up very quickly from carpets, and it takes a very long time of going over the carpet over and over and over again to really get it clean.
This is a very good product to have around, and I have found it indispensible when we had accidents such as toilet overflows or major carpet stains. However, it has significant limitations and you should be aware of them before purchasing one.
