The Remnant, Left Behind Series #10

Share and Enjoy:

I was a bit afraid to pick up the book "The Remnant" to read; this is the 10th book in the Left Behind Series, and I must say I didn't like the ninth book as much as the previous ones.  This one however brought me back to the exciting turns of events that the other books in the series had- I loved it!

The description on the front cover used to foreshadow the events in each book reads, "On the Brink of Armageddon."  I found this to be intriguing, and was not disappointed.  Our characters, familiar by now if you have read the previous books in the series, are mostly here, although there have been a few casualties of some main characters.  While the battle of good (Tribulation Force) and evil (Satan, aka Nicolae Carpathia,) is still lining up to be a marked throwdown, there some other subplots of other characters going on here as well, and I must say I liked "seeing" what they were all doing, and how it affected the eventual outcome of the series.

I think what I like the best about this book was the high level of description that is provided by the authors, Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins.  The earth has withstood most of God's judgements of the Tribulation, as listed in Bible prophesy, and the authors do a phenomenal job in describing every scene down to the last detail.  They really have a gift for painting a picture to the reader, which is one of the reasons I love the entire Left Behind Series.  I definitely would recommend this book to anyone!
