We got our 2001 Crew Cab Dodge Dakota a few months ago. I love it. We wanted to get a family vehicle because we are planning on having children soon, but we also wanted a truck to haul things. It works perfect because having the crew cab, it is like having a suv/truck. There is enough room to fit many things. We haven't had many problems with the vehicle itself. Its very easy to maintain. I like the look and room that Dakota has. Its a very sporty looking truck, but also gets the job done when you are wanting to do truck work with it. The gas mileage isn't bad for being a truck and having the sized engine that it does. Moving from the truck that we did have to this makes the gas very affordable. I really don't have any complaints about this vehicle.

The Dakota is a very nice looking truck. Having the crew cab will come in handy when you do have children. Thanks for sharing.
We looked at these when we were in the market. The test drive showed us the truck handles very well. We didn't get end up with this model. The tow package was not quite up to our needs.
We have a truck with the crew cab, for the kiddos, and we love it. Glad you are happy with your dodge.
This sounds like a multi tasking truck that not only hauls a lot but once you have children, will provide ample room for them! Good for you for plannng ahead!
One day I will own a Dodge Dakota, if only because I named my son Dakota and he would think ti was neat to have a truck with his name on it.
Dodge trucks are sharp looking. I like the extended cab so it has plenty of room for the kids. That is a downfall to many other trucks. It's nice to own one but they never seem to fit the whole family. I'm glad you found one that fits all of your needs.
