My Chev Aveo and me

Share and Enjoy:

If you're looking for a good ride, a dependable car, good gas mileage, pretty color, and not very expensive, I'd go for it.  I'm very content with this little car, it seems quite roomy to me and it's very comfortable, it has a seat adjustment, so through my back surgeries, I've been able to adjust it to the ever changing curvature of my back.

I've always wanted (and I've had) a light blue car.  This is the prettiest blue I've ever seen.  I get many inquiries when I'm able to go out in it, and they've all been favorable.  It is a different looking newer auto, an '05 bought December '04.  It has less than 16000 miles on it, but hasn't given me any problems.  It is pretty powerful for such a little car, and roomy enough for my husband 6' 1 1/2". and my 13 year old 5" 11"+ step -son, Jeff (the light of my life).  I can go grocery shopping and have room for a ton of food.  The radio is adequate (I'm a little tone deaf, but it does have lots of settings I like to play with and 4 speakers).

It runs great, and since it's an American (so they say) car, 15000 mile check up and maintenance is cheap.  It's solid and still has no noises from being abused.  It looks and feels great even at high speeds.  (The limit is 60mph here, but somehow the little car has gone up to 78 mph all by itself) no shakes or noises even at that speed.

I'm not sure of the gas mileage, but I think I get about 20-26 around town.  (My husband drives the car, too, and he puts little bits of gas in sometimes, as in the times I try to see what I get for gas mileage ;-D)

Update on May 18, 2008 18:41

My poor car was killed May 16, 2008 with less than 16,400 miles on it.  I had just figured the gas mileage to be 24.6 mpg in the last 600+ miles.

The airbags and seatbelt restraints work well.  My hubby went through a stop sign and was hit by traffic going both ways.  He went to the Emergency Room, but came home the same day.  He's just shook up a bit.

  1. Sorry to hear about the wreck -- glad he is ok. I can't believe you had so few miles on it. That is about 6 months of driving for me.

    1. We are both physically disabled. The only time I ever leased a car I went into outside sales right after and put on 72,000 miles a year for the last 2 years of my 3 year lease!! Needless to say, I had to buy it!!
