Gymboree Clothing
Gymboree is a popular children's clothing store that sells clothing sizes newborn to 12 years, with primary focus on ages 2-8. All of the clothing sold at Gymboree are released in "lines" or collections. A new line comes out once every 2-3 weeks, depending on the season. Lines are characterized by a common theme or design. There's is no denying that Gymboree's clothing is adorable, especially for younger children. It is cutesy and generally age-appropriate.
The quality of Gymboree clothing has went downhill in recent years, but is still above that of low-end department store brands. Bright fabrics tend to fade quickly, especially reds and blues. If the clothing is put in the dryer, it tends to pill after several washes. It is not uncommon for the seams to come unstitched on shirts. That being said, the fabric is very soft and the clothes are very comfortable for children.
The price of Gymboree clothing can be very expensive. Pants or jeans usually run between $30-$35, and tops between $15-$25. Lines are marked down in increments of 20% beginning about a month after they are released, so it is possible to find some great deals in store. Gymboree also releases coupons and Gymbucks periodically, making good deals easier to come by.
Overall, it is hard to beat Gymboree for fun, cute clothes. The quality could be better, but if you can find items on sale, it is worth it!
