I installed this security system on my car back in 2005. It is still operating, but it lacks a heck of a lot of bells and whistles that the new security systems have.
I like the python, because to me it says security. It comes with two three button transmitters, the ability to flash your parking lights to locate your car in a crowded lot, and the "Revenger six-tone siren" to ward off the bad guys.
I found the unit really easy to use. I did not opt for the keyless entry (wow am I old school) or the remote start. In retrospect I should have upgraded instead of opting for the cheaper base model.
All in all it offered the protection that I needed for an affordable price, and guess what my car never got stolen while using this system. I just would recommend upgrading a little bit the next go around.
Don't know much about these, but sounds like one needs more than a basic package.
Sounds like it does the job just not in a fancy way!
This sounds like a good basic system. I am looking for a security system for my new car. Thanks for the advice on the upgrade.
I like hearing it gives the ability to flash the lights for finding the car.
Maybe your next alarm system will have those little extras. It sounds like it does what it's suppose to do.
Sounds like a nice deal for a little peace of mind.
