As a personal trainer, I found it hard to get my point across to people sometimes. I would try and explain how to do an exercise, or it for them, and even help move them through the motion. Sometimes a client just wouldn't get it. And sometimes it's easier for me to know what a certain exercise is doing for the body, but it's hard for me to explain it in terms everyone can understand.
One day a client brought this book to me and I instantly loved it. I went out a week later and bought it, finding no other book that came close to the amount of great info this one has. I used it for myself to vary up my own workouts, and also for extra support for my clients.
This book does a great job explaining ideas and exercises in terms everyone can understand. It is technical, but in a way that you don't have to know Latin or have taken college anatomy to understand it.
When it comes to specific exercises, it explains how to do them, what muscle it works, recommendations on how many to do, and shows a photo of a person in the starting and ending positions of the exercise. It takes you through a 12-week plan for burning fat, but I used this book mainly for the diagrams and variety of exercises it shows.

I need this book! Great instructional guide to exercising!
Sounds like a great book. The right information expressed the right way can make the difference. Thanks for sharing the information about this book.
Coming from a personal trainer, this MUST be a good book. Thanks for the information.
I love Men's Health and am not surprised that if they were to put out a book like Hard Body Plan that it would be a good one. Books-A-Million is also an awesome site!
What an excellent book! I love that the book doesn't talk down to you & even someone like I can understand it! Will have to check out Books-a-Million!!
This sounds very practical, putting a lot of good information in one place.
Nice that it includes a 12 week plan. Its always easier to get started when you have something to follow.
