Lights, Camera, Action!
My familiy is preparing to celebrate my grandparents' 65th wedding anniversary over Memorial Day weekend. This is such a rare occasion to have the opportunity to have a couple celebrate this many years of marriage that we are trying to make it a memorable event. We have rented a local, historic movie theater. It is run by the Lions' Club of which my husband is a member. We are decorating the adjoining meeting room in movie memorabilia. This is where we will have dinner during the celebration. I purchased some wonderful, picture keychains from Oriental Trading Company. They look like little director's clapboards and we will put a picture of my grandparents in each one for guests to take home with them. I also purchased larger director clapboards to use as centerpieces. Each family's last name will be painted on these larger clapboards. Finally, I purchased some bags of camera and film reel confetti to scatter on the dinner tables for decorations.
I can't wait to celebrate this event with my family. I think that these novelty gifts will really enhance the atmosphere and I hope everyone enjoys taking home a keepsake of the day. I recommend Oriental Trading for any novelty gift purchases!

65 years, bless their hearts, thats wonderful. I looked at this last year on oriental trading for a movie themed birthday party for my daughter. We ended up getting something close at Party City though because I could not find 65.00 worth of stuff to use my free shipping code.

I love decorating in themes for parties. This sounds like a lot of fun, and Oriental Trading does seem to have lots of variety for fun things that don't break the bank.
