Buchner & O'Toole Title company's main office is located in Ottawa, IL. They also have branches in Morris, Mendota, and Peru. Buchner & O'Toole is an agent for the Chicago Title Insurance Company and for The First American Title Insurance Company. I had used their services several years ago when I was building a house. I had taken a construction loan, and I used this title company's help to manage it.
We had set down in Buchner & O'Toole's quiet office, and they explained to me how the process worked and what I needed to do. The instructions were very clear, so I got to work. Basically, I would purchase my construction materials, submit receipts and other necessary paperwork to the title company, and then get reimbursed by them. Sounds easy enough, and for the most part, I did not have any problems doing this. However, there were times when Buchner & O'Toole was too slow to issue my reimbursment checks, making me wait and slowing down my work. This was inconvenient.

Does anyone have a positive title company experience?
Sounds like a good company except for the wait time on reimbursement.
Thanks for all the information you gave on this title company!
I am not too familiar with titles but for the most part, it sounds like this is the way to go in your construction business!
I don't understand this stuff very well, but any information people can get before jumping into these kinds of financial arrangements is good.
I am not familiar with this type of company and the kind of service that they offer. I have yet to encounter title companies here in our country.
Some people just need a fire lit under their behind, don't they? It never ceases to amaze me when a place wants your business and then they do things at a speed slower than the beltway (if you've never driven it, we can go with "molasses" instead, only sometimes molasses would be faster). Generally these same slow people are the ones that are all over you the minute they are supposed to be paid... I hope you can find someone better!
Sorry you had to wait on the money. I'm sure that can be annoying, especially for your work. I have found problems lately with companies taking their sweet little time with things. Maybe it is like that everywhere now. People are just lazy lol.
Thanks for sharing, very informative! ;)
