Chris-Craft Boats, A History Of Excellence

Share and Enjoy:

Chris-Craft have been in the boat building business since 1874. They have a feeling of total ease upon the waters. Rarely if ever do you experience that hard bounce, boats made with less expert hands do when running the waves. My father bought his first boat when I was 8 years old, and we all fell in love with racing across San Francisco Bay and out beyond the Golden Gate.

The boat has two main decks on its 40 foot length. In the bow area, there is a seating well with another area for sunbathing. In the prow area, a ladder takes you up to the Captains cabin, which is enclosed on three sides and has a fully glassed in visual area. on the prow deck there is room for 3-4 people to sit and watch the water, fish or merely sunbathe.

Below decks there is a head, with a sink, shower and marine toilet. A bedroom and a fully equiped gallery with a refrigerator, stove, sink and lots of storage. Facing the gallery is a leather banquette and table that can seat 4-6 people with ease.

These are amongst the most well crafted and stable boats on the planet. In fact they are the only boatwrights who's boats were used during D Day in WWII. JFK and Franklin Roosevelt had Chris Craft's, along with many famous people from Hollywood and New York. Ours is the Corsair model which is still seaworthy to this day.

If you want a boat both safe and durable, as well as attractive and functional, don't waste your hard earned money on anything less than the best: Chris-Craft.

  1. Chris-Craft is one of those classic brands that just make you drool. Thanks for sharing, but now I just want to come visit you, haha. I have a rubber raft that takes 30 minutes to inflate, does that count as a boat? Seriously, this is a wonderful boat, and I'm glad you have told us about it.

  5. A boat is on our "things to get" list and this one sounds incredible! A bit more than what we're looking for (more for river/lake use than ocean) but hey one can dream right?!?

  6. Well I guess I will join the others who have commented and ask if you could stop by and pick me up too. I can just see it, a girls night out on your beautiful boat! This sounds so lovely and has everything you could possibly want. I have only seen this type of boat from a distance. You are lucky to have enjoyed this with your father.

  8. Lets go!!! It would be amazing to have a boat like this. I am drooling lol. I love going on boats but I rarely get to do it. Maybe someday I will be lucky enough to have one of these =-)

  10. Wow. I know nothing about boats, but this one looks amazing and I'm jealous. Well, my dad has a bass boat and I've been fishing with him, but it just isn't the same as what you have described. That's the kind of boat that you see in movies!

  11. This is a very well known brand of boat. Thanks for the information.
