All Pods are not Equal
I bought this single serve coffe maker for my husband for christmas. His plan was/is to cut back on the amount of caffine he drinks, so we thought a cup at a time vs a pot at a time might be a way to start.
Overall, I like the machine, but i don't love it. The coffee comes out frothy (looks like a cappucino). The serving sizes are SMALL. You can use the 2 cup option, but if you are using a standard size mug, you run the risk of it overflowing. The water reservoir is also small and needs to be filled frequently. Senseo does offer a larger reservoir on thier website for an additional $20. Also, with the cost of the pods (approx $4.50/18 and we use 2 at a time) on weekends and when we have guests, we still brew a full pot of coffee, so I was unable to rid myself of the larger coffee maker. We also purchased the pod insert that allows you to use ground coffe and esentially make your own pods. It doesn't work so well.
The coffee tastes good. It is easy to use and clean. If I had it to do over, i don't think i would choose this machine.
