An Fantastic Cruise

Share and Enjoy:

Back in February of 2007 I went on a cruise with Carnival Cruises.  The second I got onto the ship I was instantly helped by the staff and was helped to find my room.  The room I had may have been small, but it was all I needed.  I then Explored the ship, which had everything you wanted.  A pool, hot tub, 7 bars, a free all you can eat buffet, a casino, multiple shops, and much much more.  We were then directed on the countless activities the boat offered.  Anything from auctions to sports competitions to bingo night.  This trip left from Los Angeles at sunset and we were heading for San Diego.  At supper time we were given a menu that we could order from again and again for free!  The waitors and waitresses were very nice and they even sang and danced for us.

The next day we were in San Diego.  We were given options on shore excursions on what to do.  I chose to go to the infamous San Diego Zoo.  All transportation and tickets were provided for us, on time and quickly.  The Zoo was huge and amazing.  That night on the boat, they provided us entertainment with a musical, which was ok.  I also played at the casino, which provided a lot more friendly atmosphere than any other casino I have ever been to.   The cruise ship left San Diego and headed for Catalina Island.

Catalina Island is a secluded Island of the coast of California.  Most of this island is a nature preserve trying to maintain its ecosystem.  I took a Zodiak tour around the island that provided me with a lot of nature pictures, but unfortunately we were unable to see any whales.  On the island itself has a small tourist town.  Some more attractions and photo opportunities can be found in the village.

After Catalina Island we headed for Ensenada.  In Ensenada, I toured all the small trinket shops and took advantage of the cheap liquor.  I then spent most of the day relaxing by the pool side and in the got tub.  That night the crew did a farewell party for us and a closing ceremony in the theatre.

The next morning we were back in L.A. and sadly left the ship.  This was the first vacation where I was not looking to go home.  It was truly a great experience.  The only thing I did not like was the constant  custom checks debarking and entering the ship.  But in this day and age it cannot be helped.  This was a very great vacation, I reccomend that everyone should go.
