After watching a little too much HGTV, my husband and I decided to invest in Home Design software to help us visualize the changes we wanted to make to our home. The Punch, Professional Home Design Suite, Platinum version was highly rated, so we shelled out the $100 ever hopeful that we would soon be delving into high end graphics and stunning 3-D views of what our new rooms would be. This program fell a bit short. Okay, a LOT short.
First of all, we could barely even get started in the program without it locking up, always in the same part of the process. We found Customer support to be less than helpful. The "user's guide" is also difficult to navigate. The program and guides were over our heads from a design standpoint, and over my head from a technical standpoint.
This product has gotten ZERO use, and is just sitting on my computer taking up memory. We are currently looking into alternatives.

This sounds like a program for a professional. It was alot of money to pay to be disappointed!
i would have to agree! not for the average joe!
Awww.... What a total bummer to get all worked up over the raves of the Punch, Professional Home Design Suite, Platinum version, shell out $100, load it up onto your computer, get it going and then have it freeze! Ack! And then we all know that open software cannot be returned... if it wasn't that long ago that you purchased this maybe you could get a refund direct from the company?
I have wanted to try some 3-d design software, I'll be sure to steer clear of this one.
Sounds like a bummer all the way around. Even if it was made for people with more computer knowledge it shouldn't have locked up over and over. And no support is just barbaric!
Thats for the heads up, I was considering buying this.
