Double sided Indoor grill

Share and Enjoy:

Have you ever wanted a grilled burger, but the weather conditions were not right to use your outdoor grill?  You should try an indoor, stovetop grill.  Last Christmas, I recieved a $30 gift certificate to Bed, Bath and Beyond.  I had been shopping for a stovetop grill because Rachel Ray uses one on my favorite show"30 Minute Meals".  In fact, after I bought my off-brand grill, Rachel's cooking collection came out with a stove top grill for $99.  I only paid $30 for mine.

The grill sits across the front and back burners.  It has a flat side that is perfect for pancakes, grilled sandwiches, and fried eggs.  The flip side is the ridged grill.  I love to grill burgers, steaks, veggies and hotdogs.  The food looks pretty when it has the grill marks on it!

The grill is cast iron and is not supposed to stick...however, if you use sauces or marinades on your food, it is a little tricky to clean between the ridges on the grill side.  That is really my only complaint.

If you have a glass top stove, I do not think this grill will work for you because it fits over the burners which is how the heat is evenly distributed.

I use the grill alot and enjoy the food that is cooked on it, however, I can not say that it is my favorite kitchen gadget due to the fact that it is not very pleasant trying to clean the grill side.  But for what its worth, it beats using the outdoor grill in the snow or rain!

  2. I have one I got free from Safeway for purchasing a required amount of their Black Angus beef. It is very sturdy but I was afraid it would be extremely hard to clean. I'll have to try it and see if I get the same results as you have:)

  4. I'm going to look for one of these. I used to have an old electric griddle that you could do different things on, but this seems more practical. It also seems a bit easier to use than my old George. Thanks for the information!

  5. This is something that I'm definitely interested in. I love Rachel Ray's cook show too. I'm going to be looking for this one. My birthday is coming up, maybe I can have someone get me that for my birthday!

  6. I have always wanted an indoor grill pan, but unfortunately we have an electric stove :( It is too bad that the grill pan can be difficult to clean, those are the type of items that I use less frequently because of the hassel!
