It's hot and cold...
I just wanted to tell you a sad story. I went and visited my father for a few days and saw this wonderful thermostat that he had for his home. It is made by Hunter which is a wonderful brand and they have great warranties for all their products. I have 2 ceiling fans with the same brand and I have no complaints.I fell in love with it and begged him to get me one. It is all touchscreen and programmable. It has a neon blue screen that allows it to be seen at night. I liked that it was large enough for a man to use as well. It is programmable for up 7 days and it can control different temperatures throughout the day. This works great for me because I work nights and I don't need it as cool during the day so I save some money on my power bill. According to my father it was also easy to install. We made a trip to the local Lowe's and he bought me one for my home.
I am not crazy enough to try and install it myself so I had a friend come over and try to install it. He used to work on thermostats for a living so I had high hopes. Althought the packaging says that it's universal and can be used everywhere it wasn't compatible for mine. I was so sad. : ( He said a different brand makes one that will work for my home so I will be getting that soon.
Even though it does not work in my home, it is a great tool to add to your house. My father now swears by it and he said that it has lowered his power bill a few dollars. Every little bit helps at this point. I am sure that Home Depot would have it to, but I got mine at Lowe's
