We had lost our DVD remote and decided to buy a universal. My husband loves technology so we bought the Logitech harmony one remote. It comes with the remote a rechargeable battery and a charging station. It also comes with computer software and an usb cable.
It was very easy to set up as you would point and click for the device you want and simply type in your model for your device and would set it up automatically. You can even program advanced combinations of buttons like to turn on the DVD player and switch the TV to an alternate input.
It operates with a touch screen and has lighted buttons and is easy to operate and even has the date and time on the touch screen. It has a battery saving feature where it turns itself then automatically turns on with any motion. The only drawback is that it is not quite as fast as a regular remote any buttons you press there is a slight delay before it performs that action.

Wow its a bit pricey but if it works great. So tired of getting those that lose their codes or won't work with one piece of equipment but works with another. lol
$230?? Really? OMG, that remote had better work the microwave and warm up my bed in the winter too... glad you like it!
Most universal remotes have the delay, but you did choose a great 1. :)
Looks like it is a very high tech remote cos it comes with touch screen even..I have never seen one with touch screen!!
