Lanikai Baritone Ukuleles

The Lanikai LU-21BE is a Baritone Ukulele with a Shadow pick-up pre-installed. It is a great inexpensive uke that puts out quite a sound that surpasses what its price point would imply. It is easy to play and has a nice finish to it. It sounds fantastic acoustically and even better plugged in.

 I have had mine for almost a year and have used it live and in practice many times. It is a great portable instrument that has a great mellow sound unlike a travel 6 string guitar.  I play folk music and even some blues with this uke. The Lanikai Baritone Ukulele is very versatile instrument indeed! For those of you who are new to the world of Ukuleles, this is a great starting point. If you already play guitar, it should be easy for you to learn since it is tuned just like the guitar, minus the lower E and A strings.

 It has sealed tuners, 18 small frets, and Shadow pick-up system that runs on a small watch battery. The battery is much easier to install than the usual 9-volt types. You load it from the outside, so no troublesome reaching inside the guitar to put in a fresh battery.

 This ukulele can be found online at dealers like SameDayMusic.com for around 130 dollars, and is worth every penny. I have played more expensive ukes than this one, and I still wouldn't trade mine in for anything else. I'm sure I'll have this instrument for the rest of my life.
