We bought this 2005 Pontiac GTO in 2006 as a carryover. It's a sharp car with one heavy engine. It's an 8 cylinder/6.0 liter/403 HP. It's one mean machine that you don't want to mess with. I can't tell you how many times out on the road that someone with "what they think to be" a great car zooms their engines. This car has left everyone in the dust so far. It's got black leather interior and the exterior is a blue grey called Cyclone Grey. SHARP...SHARP...SHARP
Of course since it's got so much muscle, it's not a good family car. It certainly has the room but the kids are always asking Dad..."Let's race???" Not a good thing to do with the kids. However it'll one day be a collector item since they stopped making this model and body style in 2006. We put it up each winter to keep VT weather away from it.
I love the GTO's old and new, I always wanted a Judge when I was growing up.
Sounds like a great car and a good tip about storing it during the winter.
a great car, but the gas mileage -when stepped on for power..
Launch a photo, I'd love to see this car!
I wouldn't dare have a fast car - I can barely force myself to keep the speed limit in my little Malibu as it is! It sure sounds like fun, though.
You sure looks cool behind those wheels...wow..come go racing.
I have a older Dodge Daytona (1990) which I am waiting to put collector plates on in 2 years. But it goes FAST, and my daughter is always wanting me to race. It doesn't help that I have a lead foot anyway. But, I would gladly trade it for your GTO...hold on to it like you said, it will be a really cool unique car like mine when hardly anyone else has one anymore.
LOL - "let's race" - I remember saying that when I was a kid. Glad that you are enjoying and taking care of your GTO!
I have to admit that I was a bit appalled at the looks of these cars when they first came out. No model had been named GTO since the original production ended in 1974. At the time the Dodge Charger and Ford Mustang were going retro and their cars actually looked like their forerunners. This car, however, is nothing like the first generation goat in looks at least. It sounds like it has a nice engine, but I have to say that I can't see a car being called a GTO without the nice big split grill and a long, sleek body. I'm glad you like it!
I can attest...VERY fun car! Who says racing is a bad thing?... ;)
I love seeing the neigbors go by with "Thumbs Up" for this car.
