My children gave my hubby and I this beautiful crystal photo cube for our anniversary present. It has the etched picture of the two of us from a Hawaiian Luau. I know the picture is hard to see but if you can imagine a clear crystal with an etching inside of it. If you look at the side view you can see how the etching was inserted.
I have a stand with lights for it that rotates and changes colors of the crystal as it turns. It's a very unique gift and something that we will treasure forever. It is all done by computer. They sent in the picture and they scanned it on the computer. Once the photo is in the computer, then the etching is done on the crystal. I have seen this done in person and it's amazing. If you are lucky enough to have it done in person, the computer will do the etching in 3D.
I am not sure where my children had purchased this for us, but here is a website that will give you an idea of Crystal Photos .
It's a special gift and definitely one of a kind!

I saw these cubes during my recent trip to Europe, and I wanted to make one so much, but I did not have any good photos of me and my husband with me. It's good to know they are available here!
I've seen these for sale at stores in Downtown Disney. They are so cool especially when they are all lite up. What a great gift and picture.
