AT&T Remote Answering Machine

We purchased this answering machine a long time ago, but it still works and looks like a new one.  We use this answering machine in our home office.  We purchased this answering machine for the remote access feature which we use often.

Features of the Machine 

* All operations can be accomplished simply, and it is easy to set up.

* It uses a micro cassette tape which can be reused over and over again.  You can, also, keep the tapes to keep records of harassing phone messages.

* Easy to follow basic instructions are located on the flip up cover over the tape.

* It will record up to 25 messages.  After 25 messages, additional messages are added to the last message. If you do not press the save button when playing message within 10 minutes, the machine will automatically record over the old messages.  Otherwise, you can just replace the cassette if you wish to.

* It has remote access which allows you retrieve messages, turn machine on/off, change announcement, and just about everything you can do from home by using your access code.  The access code is located on the flip lid over the tape below the basic instructions.

* A users manual comes with the machine which clearly states all instructions for the operations of this machine.  It is really easy to follow.  I have found none of the operations of this machine to be difficult.

* It is great for screening calls.  If you want to screen your calls you just set the machine to answer calls.  If you wish to talk to a particular person, you just pick up your phone headset and the answering machine will automatically reset to answer calls.

* The number of blinks of the message button will tell you how many messages you have on the machine.

* You can set how many rings you wish it to take for the machine to answer. 

* It is small in size so it is easy to move around.

* It is reasonably priced for what it does.  I have certainly gotten my money's worth.

* It is durable and long lasting. 

Drawbacks 

This is a very basic and simple machine.  Those wanting more mailboxes or a more complex machine will not find this one adequate.

Many will not like the use of micro cassettes when so many now use much better memory devices and have larger memory capasity.  The memory of this machine is limited.

Recommendations and purchasing 

This machine has fully served our purposes.  I would recommend this answering machine to anyone who likes a basic answering machine with remote access.
